RAVEN, een heavy metalband uit Newcastle upon Tyne, opgericht in 1974 door de broers Gallagher, is een bepalende naam binnen de New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM). Na hun doorbraak in 1980 met drummer Rob Hunter, brachten ze invloedrijke albums uit zoals "Rock Until You Drop", "Wiped Out" en "All For One".
