De serie 'Dutch Jazz Heritage' zet, in samenwerking met het Nederlands Jazz Archief, legendarische jazzmomenten in de schijnwerpers. Tijdens dit concert duikt het Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw in het werk van de iconische baritonsaxofonist Gerry Mulligan. Mulligan's Concert Jazz Band triomfeerde in 1960 in Het Concertgebouw en werd in één adem genoemd met orkesten als die van Count Basie en Duke Ellington.
