Het Lunchconcert op vrijdag 2 oktober wordt verzorgd door het JONG JOC. Dit gezelschap, bestaande uit muzikanten van twaalf tot achttien jaar, ademt de toekomst van jazz. Ieder jaar ontstaat een nieuwe incarnatie tijdens een bootcamp-weekend rond Pasen. Met het daaruit voortkomende repertoire treedt JONG JOC een jaar lang op. Speciaal voor Orange Jazz Days presenteert de jongtalentband een nieuwe setlist, variërend van swing tot funk. Talentontwikkeling staat centraal bij het JOC, waarbij docent
