De Amerikaanse metalband High On Fire maakt een verpletterende mix van sludge, thrash en stoner, nu al 28 jaar zonder te verslappen. Frontman Matt Pike is dan ook een harde werker: behalve in High On Fire zit hij ook nog in de doommetalband Sleep. De rauwe stem van Pike doet soms denken aan Lemmy – niet voor niets coverde High On Fire in 2022 het nummer Iron Fist van Motörhead voor een tribute-album.
