De Amerikaanse band Black Stone Cherry is al ruim twintig jaar een gevestigde naam in het Southern rock-genre. Met hun stevige riffs, meeslepende hooks en een krachtige live-reputatie zetten ze wereldwijd een nieuwe standaard neer. De vaste kern, Chris Robertson, Ben Wells en John Fred Young, vormt sinds 2001 een hechte brotherhood. Sinds kort is ook Steve Jewell Jr. vast bandlid op bas en achtergrondzang. Steve groeide op met de muziek van Black Stone Cherry en stond eerder met zijn eigen band
