Coroner, sinds 1985 een toonaangevende naam in de progressieve thrash metal, keert terug naar het podium van Nobel. De Zwitserse band staat bekend om zijn invloedrijke en grensverleggende geluid, dat snelheid combineert met complexe structuren. Tussen 1987 en 1994 bracht het trio, bestaande uit Ron Broder, Tommy Vetterli en Marky Edelmann, vijf geroemde studioalbums uit zoals "R.I.P." en "Mental Vortex", die uitgroeiden tot cultklassiekers en de weg plaveiden voor technical en progressive thrash
